The day of Pentecost
Food Drive
This Sunday is our monthly Food Drive in support of Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Project. This Sunday is crucial because school will be over later this month. Children who rely on the Backpack Program that provides healthy food to supply them over the weekend period. This will place an additional burden on the MCHPP building as families come there to pick up needed food. Some of the most needed foods are peanut butter, jelly, pasta products and sauce, tuna fish, rice, cereal. MCHPP also has needs for food for babies and toddlers. Checks are also recommended. Please place MCHPP on the memo line. One dollar donated can purchase up to seven dollars worth of food through their cooperation with other agencies. One item of food from everyone who attends this Sunday will really make a difference to our friends and neighbors.
Blessings,
Bill Edman, Chair
