“Who Do You Say That I Am?” (Luke 9:20): October 16, 23, 30, November 6, 13
“Who Do You Say That I Am?” (Luke 9:20)
Inspired by the conversation groups the Rev. Carolyn Eklund has occasionally held on Sundays, this conversation group will focus on five topics that challenge our faith. Each week participants will receive in advance excerpts from relevant Scripture passages and a few well-regarded Christian authors. Those writings will serve as a basis for conversation and sharing among those participating in the group. Of course, there will be no right answers, but the hope is that by reading what others have written and by hearing what others believe, participants will think deeply about their own assumptions and find a place that feels comfortable for them.
The five topics, one for each week, are as follows: (1) How would you describe your relationship with God? (2) Who is Jesus for you? (3) What is heaven for you? What is hell for you? (4) What is the meaning of the cross for you? (5) What is the meaning of Jesus’ death and Resurrection for you?
