New Lights; Nave Being Prepped
As mentioned in an earlier post, the electricians will begin installing LED fixtures in the annex whenever their schedule permits. There was a delay in the delivery of fixtures for the nave, so work began in the annex. Because the new fixtures are smaller, placement of the lamps is staggered to give the installation a balanced appearance. Lights were also being installed in the classrooms.
The attached photos show the new LED lights in the ground floor hallway and in the approach to the nursery. Old fixtures and fluorescent bulbs await disposal.
Meanwhile, technicians are prepping the nave. As was done during the summer when the exterior was painted, plastic covers the entire area to contain the paint chips released during cleaning – securing the contaminated (lead) scrapings.
Photos show everything being covered (note technician, Sal, on the balcony).
