If you are age 16 and up you will need a fishing license, which can be purchased here. FAQ: How will I find you on the ice? We’ll fish about here: https://goo.gl/maps/f5hkmANztTM2 And we’ll have a big red shelter pitched: Because of COVID, we cannot use it as a warming hut. And we’ll have Macy the dog with us. Will I fall through the ice? No. The ice is so thick that you might see trucks on it. If you’re nervous about this, walk in the snowmobile tracks. Assuming there’s snow, you’ll see many. What about hypothermia? Just bring extra clothes in a backpack. Wear only synthetics or wool. (Cotton is cold.) Wind/rain/ski garments are great as an outer layer. Wear a warm hat. What should I bring in addition to clothes? Something warm to drink. What species might I catch? Crappie, perch, pickerel, pike, bass, sunfish. What will we do with the fish we catch? I will release my fish. If you want to eat a fish or two, know that there is a consumption advisory. May I play with Macy the dog? It is the price of admission. : ) Take-Home Bags  This school year, in addition to other offerings, we will try on “take home formation”. Stop by church and grab your family’s monthly bag with simple activities. December’s theme is… Advent! Contact Katie to schedule a time to pick up your bag or let her know if you’d like it dropped off at your home. Family Groups  Family Group continues to meet in the Garden at 2:30 pm on Sundays. Please Note: There will be no Family Group on 12/27 and 1/3. We will be doing so through the fall and winter! If you are interested in joining a Family Group please reach out to Rev. Katie. All Things Youth  Hello St. Paul’s Middle & High School Youth! Youth Group gathers on Sundays from 1-2 p.m. in the Garden. Please wear a mask, practice physical distance, and bring your own water and snack should you need them. Please Note: We will not meet on 12/27 and 1/3 Episcopal Youth Maine  Third Mondays: Pray, Play, ConnectThis 6th-12th grade gathering continues the third Monday of each month, from 7-8:30 pm. Youth play silly games, connect with one another and end with prayer and song. Second and Fourth Sundays: High School Compline Join in a time of check in and prayer. Compline runs from 7-8:30 pm. That’s why… 1. Masks are required at all times. 2. Sign in for contact tracing. 3. No more than six people at a time in entire building. 4. Stay six feet or more apart. 5. Only one person at a time in parish office. (Please make arrangements with staff if you need to meet one-on-one in person.) Sunday, January 31 3:30 pm – St. Paul’s parking lot in-person gathering outdoors, candle lighting vigil to renew our baptismal covenant and pray for peace. Support MHPP Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program Maine has not escaped the latest surge of the COVID-19 virus. We pray for those who have lost loved ones and for those who have family members in the hospital. We also pray for those struggling to pay for housing, medicine and to put food on their tables, even more so as government aid has lapsed. The last is something we can help with. MCHPP has to buy some of their food to support their mission. Please send a check in any amount to help them feed those who face a situation they have no control over.
